Premier League champions Manchester City are the latest high-profile side to have joined the race for Wolfsburg hotshot Kevin De Bruyne, according to Daily Mail.
The Citizens desperately need to add a creative midfielder to their ranks as they could stay without both Yaya Toure and Frank Lampard in the summer.
And they seem to have made Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne their number one target, the Daily Mail has suggested.
Manchester City coaching staff has been largely impressed with the former Chelsea footballer and the club have already made the first step by contacting his official representatives.
And even if Wolfsburg are desperate to keep hold of their prized possession, it is believed they would consider offers in the region of £40 million.
Kevin De Bruyne is enjoying the most successful season of his career, having managed 9 goals and 16 assists in 26 Bundesliga starts for the Volkswagen Arena outfit.
