Sunday Mirror has suggested that Manchester City could make a bid for Leeds United full-back Sam Byram.
Roberto Mancini is planning a major squad overhaul in the summer, with numerous changes expected at Etihad during the summer transfer window.
The Italian manager is now readying an £8 million bid for Leeds United starlet Sam Byram. Mancini was largely impressed with the youngster’s display in the 4-1 FA Cup defeat to City and is keen to lure him to Eastlands.
Byram is seen as a long-term replacement for Pablo Zabaleta, given that Micah Richards is lined up for a place in the heart of defence.
The 19-year-old is a product of club’s famous youth academy and has exploded onto the biggest stage this season.
Byram, who can also play as a right or central midfielder, has made the right-back position his own, making 36 Championship appearances and scoring 2 goals in the process.
