The England Under-21 international Jack Harrison has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Manchester City.
The New York City starlet is the product of Manchester United academy where he stayed until the age of 14 but it is Manchester City who are believed to have secured dibs on the winger, according to The Sun.
Manchester City and New York City nurture close ties and it is their relationship that has enabled the Citizens with first refusal on the 20-year-old starlet who has been added to Aidy Boothroyd’s side ahead of their Euro 2019 qualifiers against Scotland and Andorra.
Referred to as the ‘Golden Boy’ by his teammates in New York which include the likes of David Villa, Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard, the England youth international has gone through a sensational 12 months which saw him emerge as one of the most exciting English talents.
Jack Harrison has made a steady progress under the watchful eye of Patrick Vieira and it’s only a matter of time when he will make a return to homeland with Manchester City being first in line to grab the talented winger.
