Premier League hot-shots Manchester City are said to be looking towards Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
Under-criticism French striker has endured a difficult season in Spain with his future at the Bernabeu being cast into doubt.
Benzema scored only two La Liga goals this season and has been heavily linked with a move away from Los Blancos this January.
With pressure mounting the host of Europe’s top clubs are keeping close tabs on Benzema’s situation at Real Madrid with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain understood to be leading the line for the Frenchman.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon has reported, however, that the Premier League leaders Manchester City have also joined the chase with Pep Guardiola said to be a long-term admirer of the French striker.
And with Sergio Aguero once again linked with City departure, Benzema is seen as his direct replacement.
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is also one of the names closely linked with a January switch to Manchester City.
