Manchester City want to sign James Maddison from Premier League rivals Leicester City in the summer of 2023, according to The Daily Mail. The report has claimed that the defending Premier League champions enquired about the England international attacking midfielder in the January transfer window and remain keen on the 26-year-old.
Maddison is one of the better attacking midfielders in the Premier League and is doing well for Leicester at the moment. The 26-year-old has made 13 starts and one substitute appearance in the league for the Foxes so far this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in the process.
Manchester City are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 45 points from 20 matches, five points behind leaders Arsenal, who have played 19 games. Meanwhile, Leicester currently find themselves 14th in the standings with 18 points from 20 games.
