Manchester City linked with Ousmane Diomande

Manchester City are interested in signing Ousmane Diomande from Sporting Lisbon, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that City have long shown interest in Diomande, and that the defending Premier League champions are now keen on the 19-year-old Ivory Coast international centre-back.

Ousmane Diomande joined Sporting Lisbon in January 2023 from Midtjylland. The teenager has established himself as one of the best young centre-backs in Europe. Diomande has scored one goal and given one assist in six Portuguese Primeira Liga and has scored one goal in one UEFA Europa League match.

Manchester City are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 18 points from six matches, two points ahead of Liverpool in second place. Meanwhile, Sporting Lisbon currently find themselves at the top of the Portuguese Primeira Liga table with 16 points from six matches, level on points with second-placed FC Porto.
