Manchester City midfielder Vladimir Weiss says he is open to a possibility of continuing his career in La Liga.
The Slovakian winger is currently on loan at Espanyol and has had a mixed start to his career at Montjuic.
The 22-year-old has 10 La Liga appearances to his name, although he only started 6 of those.
With his contract at Manchester City set to expire in June 2013, the player admits he is pondering his options.
“My City contract expires in summer 2013. I will soon have to ponder the question whether to extend a new contract there or move on,” Weiss told Pravda.
“For the moment I’m focused on doing my duties at Espanyol in order to have offers I could choose from in the upcoming summer.”
The player says that he is slowly growing a preference towards Spanish La Liga.
“I liked playing in the Premier League but now I have a feeling that the Spanish league has gone into my blood and that it suits me even more.”
Weiss arrived to Manchester City from Inter Bratislava in 2006 and was considered one of the brightest talents in Europe when he made his first team debut in 2009.
However, he never really got a real chance at Eastlands and was subsequently farmed out on loan to Bolton and Rangers.
