Manchester City have made a last-minute offer of 35 million euros (51 million dollars) for Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Robinho, who wants to join Chelsea, Spanish media reported Monday.
The Spanish champions are studying the offer but are more inclined to accept a similar one made earlier by Chelsea, the internet sites of Spanish sports dailies AS and Marca reported.
The transfer period ends at midnight on Monday. Real meanwhile have launched a fresh bid to recruit Spanish international David Villa from Valencia, Marca added.
Robinho said Sunday that his “head was at Chelsea” at a press conference where he once again asked to be allowed to join the English side which is coached by Brazil's Luiz Felipe Scolari.
