Manchester City have made an official approach for West Ham United youngster Reece Oxford, according to Sky Sports.
The seventeen year old broke into the Hammers’ first team last season under Slaven Bilic, who handed him his professional debut in the Europa League twelve months ago.
He then selected him for the opening Premier League game of the season, where he impressed in a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
In total, he has made twelve senior appearances for the East London outfit in all competitions while internationally he has represented England at every level from U16 to U19 level.
Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig have also made an offer for the teenager, while Newcastle United were keen to take him on a season-long loan.
However, Premier League title favourites Manchester City are leading the chase to secure his services as they prepare for their first season under Pep Guardiola.
