Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted that he is having a frustrating time in the transfer market this summer, reports ESPN.
The Premier League Champions are yet to sign a new player and Mancini strongly believes they need to add at least one or two if they are to retain their title.
City have of course been linked with a large number of players, but nothing has come off quite yet and Mancini admits he is not the man in charge of making things happen.
The Italian said: “It will be harder than last year and for this reason, we need to improve our team.
“But I am not the man in charge of this. We have a man who works for this and we hope that they can do a good job.”
Basically, Mancini identifies the players he would like and the board go about securing a deal.
One of these players is Robin Van Persie of course and Mancini refused to say too much about making the Dutchman a City player.
In other Manchester City news, captain Vincent Kompany signed a new six-year deal yesterday and this showed his massive commitment to the club.
Now it is all about finding some new team-mates for the Belgium international as City look to improve their squad and go from strength to strength next season.
