Manchester City patient over Messi

According to a recent report from Marca, Manchester City won’t make the first move when trying to sign Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

The belief is that City won’t make a move until it’s made clear by Messi that he does, in fact, want to leave the Nou Camp. We’ve heard rumours for years now that he wants to try a new challenge but after he wound up staying last summer, many were left to wonder if he’d ever take the leap of faith.

If he did, a reunion with former Barca manager Pep Guardiola at Man City seems like a foregone conclusion.

Messi is still regarded to this day as one of the greatest footballers to have ever lived, and if he spends even one season in the Premier League, you can bet that he’d make some memories that would last a lifetime for City fans and neutral supporters alike.
