According to a recent report from The Times, Erling Haaland’s agent is set to hold talks with Manchester City in January.
Mino Raiola is a controversial figure in the world of football but even if you don’t like him, there’s no way of denying the impact he’s been able to have on the careers of many top players. Haaland, on the other hand, is a pretty hot property with most of Europe’s top clubs hoping to take the Norwegian away from Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old’s contract is set to run until 2024 but a £64 million release clause is set to come into play from summer 2022. Haaland seems to have established the kind of consistency most players can only dream of and with his father previously spending three years of his career with Manchester City, it makes sense for them to be the frontrunners.
Until January, though, the speculation will continue to mount.
