Manchester City are readying a summer bid for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Joel Robles Blazquez, Spanish daily AS understands.
The English Premier League leaders have enquired about the possibility of signing the talented keeper and they are expected to make an official offer at the end of the season.
The Citizens have been following the 21-year-old for a while now and they believe he would be one for the future.
Manchester City already have a world-class shot-stopper in Joe Hart, but they want Joel to learn from the England number one and possibly take over from him in the future.
The promising keeper started his career at Vicente Calderon, but could only make two La Liga appearances for los Colchoneros.
The player was farmed out on loan to Rayo Vallecano in January transfer window and quickly made the number one place his own.
Joel has a contract with Atletico until June 2014, meaning that he won’t come cheap if the Spaniards decide to cash in on him.
