Premier League champions Manchester City are considering a summer bid for former Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, Sunday People has suggested.
The Citizens have been impressed with the Belgian’s performances in Bundesliga and they are reportedly ready to start the bidding at £27 million.
But, with the midfielder having made quite an impact since joining in a mega money move from Chelsea, Wolfsburg are highly unlikely to sell their prized asset.
De Bruyne was never given a real chance to impress at Stamford Bridge, having only made three Premier League appearances for the Blues.
He was in turn sold to Wolfsburg in January 2014 and has since been in scintillating form, bagging 11 goals in 37 league outings.
De Bruyne, 23, is currently enjoying the most successful season in his professional career, having managed 8 goals and 12 assists in 21 Bundesliga matches.
It is believed that his former club Chelsea are also keen, but the Belgian is not interested in moving back to Stamford Bridge.
