Manchester City are weighing up a summer move for Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria, Daily Star reports.
Roberto Mancini is a keen admirer of the Argentine midfielder and could make his interest concrete in the summer.
The 23-year-old has clashed with Real Madrid chiefs over a new contract and could decide to quit Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
Di Maria signed an £80,000-per-week deal when he arrived from Benfica, but has since developed into a key player for Jose Mourinho’s side and wants the contract to reflect his new status at Santiago Bernabeu.
Should the player stay at Real for a bit longer, Real Madrid would have to pay Benfica around £10 million in performance-related bonuses and los Blancos, therefore, want to cash in on him in the summer.
The Spanish giants paid Benfica £25 million when Di Maria arrived to Santiago Bernabeu and they are unlikely to settle for anything less than that figure.
