Manchester City are ready to make Alexis Sanchez their highest paid player as they prepare to test Arsenal’s resolve with a big money big, according to the Daily Star.
The Citizens have long been linked with a move for the Chile forward who’s future with the Gunners has been the subject of much speculation since the season ended.
The twenty-eight year old netted thirty times in all competitions with twenty-four of those strikes coming in the Premier League – a tally only bettered by Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane of Tottenham, who won the Golden Boot with twenty-nine.
Since arriving at the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 Sanchez has scored seventy-two goals in one hundred and forty-five outings while was part of the squads that won the FA Cup both last month and two years ago.
He is also one goal away from becoming his country’s outright top scorer of all time with him currently tied with Marcelo Salas on thirty-seven.
