Premier League giants Manchester City have completed the shock signing of Australian footballer Luke Brattan from Brisbane Roar.
The 25-year-old had been a free agent since leaving the A-League side in the summer and he went on to sign for the Citizens after their scouts spotted him while playing against City’s sister club Melbourne City.
After signing a contract with the Etihad outfit, Brattan was immediately loaned out to Championship side Bolton Wanderers, where he will remain at least until 3 January.
The Trotters announced the loan deal on their official website, with the talented footballer expected to gain much needed first team experience at the Reebok Stadium.
Brattan spent some time training at Manchester City before the deal was completed and he clearly did enough to earn a professional contract.
The English-born footballer had made 91 league appearances and scored 4 goals during a five-year spell at Brisbane Roar.
