Sky Sports understands that Manchester City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu from Shamrock Rovers.
The Premier League champions have beaten Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to secure the services of the teenager, who has been capped at U15 level for the Republic of Ireland.
Bazunu turned sixteen in February but has already played senior football in the League of Ireland, keeping clean sheets in all four of his domestic appearances.
He also played as Shamrock were knocked out of the Europa League in the qualifying rounds by Swedish side AIK, who went through 2-1 on aggregate.
He will now compete with Daniel Grimshaw and Arijanet Muric to provide back up for first choice Ederson, with Claudio Bravo ruled out long-term through injury.
Manchester City have begun their title defence by taking ten points from their opening four games and remain favourites to be crowned champions once again at a price of 4/6.
