Premier League powerhouse Manchester City are believed to have signed a pre-agreement with one of the hottest prospects in US football Erik Palmer-Brown.
The U.S. Under-20 international is said to have agreed on a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Citizens and will move to England once his current contract with Sporting Kansas City expires in January.
The 20-year-old spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Portuguese heavyweights Porto and is expected to be further shipped out by Manchester City to gain first-team experience before returning to the Etihad Stadium.
The talented centre-back has seen his playing time with Sporting Kansas City limited to only four MLS starts this season. The US side were keen to negotiate a contract extension with their prospect but Palmer-Brown opted for a change of scenery and will move to England once the window reopens.
Palmer-Brown captained the U.S. Under-20 side that won the 2017 CONCACAF championship where he turned plenty of heads with his imposing displays.
