Lens hotshot Serge Aurier has revealed that English Premier League would be his preferred destination should he decide to leave Felix Bollaert.
After Lens got relegated from French Ligue 1, the 18-year-old defender is widely tipped to leave the club this summer.
“My priority is to go to England, a league that suits me, with plenty of pace,” Aurier told L’Equipe.
Manchester City are thought to be leading the race for his signature, but Tottenham Liverpool and Arsenal are also keen.
“But to my knowledge, among all these clubs, it is only City that have approached me,” Aurier added.
”It is flattering, but still, I’ll be looking at a sports project because I want to play and grow. I do not want to leave Lens to admire a team of stars.”
The talented defender says he wouldn’t mind playing for Lens in Ligue 2.
“It can be a good challenge, a good thing. Playing a season in Ligue 2 does not scare me because I do not think it will slow my progress. But, if we do not come back immediately, however…That yes, it scares me.”
The youngster will meet Lens chiefs next week to discuss his future.
“Whatever they tell me, I will accept their decision.”
