Manchester City tell Barcelona they want €80m for Ferran Torres

Manchester City have told Barcelona that they want €80 million for Ferran Torres, according to Sport. It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Barcelona are keen on signing Torres from defending Premier League champions City.

Spanish and European giants Barcelona have enquired about Torres. City are willing to sell the the 21-year-old forward, but they have made it clear that they want €80 million for a player they signed for €25 million from Valencia. Barcelona are unable to gather that sum either in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2022.

Torres is a winger by trade, but under City manager Pep Guardiola on many occasions, the Spain international has operated as a striker. The 21-year-old has scored two goals and provided one assist in four Premier League games so far this season. Torres scored seven goals in15 Premier League starts and scored four goals in four Champions League starts for the Citizens last season.
