Manchester City are interested in signing Lucas Paqueta from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window, according to Foot Mercato. The report in the French news outlet has claimed that City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, will make renewed efforts to bring Paqueta to the Etihad Stadium.
The report has claimed that City wanted to sign Paqueta in the summer of 2023, but the Citizens pulled out on a potential deal. Pep Guardiola’s side are still keen on the Brazil international, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger and is one of the best players at West Ham.
Paqueta has made 53 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The West Ham playmaker has scored eight goals and given nine assists in those games. David Moyes’s side are seventh in the league table at the moment with 48 points from 32 games.
