Competition: Premier League
Market: Man City & Liverpool both teams to score
Odds: 8/15 @ 888 Sport
Manchester City and Liverpool meet for the first time since their title-race clash of April. City won the Premier League crown last season, while Liverpool finished runners-up, but the Reds took bragging rights against the holders, winning 3-2 at Anfield.
Both sides scored more than 100 goals in the league in 2013/14, and 888 Sport are giving odds of 8/15 for both teams to score when they lock horns at the Etihad stadium tonight. In five of their last six Premier League meetings, both teams have scored.
No side scored more home goals than Manchester City last season, and no side scored more on their travels than Liverpool. As a result, goals should ensue tonight. Brendan Rodgers’ side had the worst away defensive record out of all the top-right teams in 2013/14, while Manchester City have only failed to score at home on one occasion.
The Citizens are likely to score at home, and Liverpool’s past record suggests they will score tonight too, so backing the pair to both get on the score sheet should be a no-brainer.
