According to a recent report from Bild, Manchester City are interested in trying to sign Borussia Dortmund star Nnamdi Collins.
The Champions of England are currently leading the race ahead of Chelsea as the hype behind the youngster continues to build. At the age of just 16 he already seems to be developing into one of the most intriguing teenage prospects in European football, having already captained Germany U16s and played more than 20 times for Dortmund’s U17s.
The defender almost certainly wouldn’t be making his presence known in City’s first team for a good few years even if the transfer went through, and perhaps that’s a sign that Pep Guardiola is starting to look ahead to the future as opposed to focusing on the past.
Collins is part of a whole new generation of stars that could make an impact in this game, and Pep knows that better than anyone right now.
