According to a recent report from Marca, David Silva’s announcement that he is set to depart Manchester City at the end of the upcoming season has enhanced Pep Guardiola’s desire to complete the signing of Isco from Real Madrid. City have been interested in Isco for quite some time now, but in order to secure his services, it is said that they will need to pay in excess of £72 million. Coming up with that kind of cash has never been an issue for them, especially in the last decade or so, but they almost certainly won’t be the only ones sniffing around.
Isco hasn’t really been utilised in the manner that many Real fans would’ve hoped in the last few months, which is one of the primary reasons as to why he’s considering the possibility of a move away from the Bernabeu.
For now, though, all we can do is speculate.
