According to reports in France, Manchester City are still very interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele.
Much like Manchester United did with Cristiano Ronaldo well over a decade ago, City were able to understand just how good Ndombele was courtesy of him playing against them earlier this season. The Lyon star, who recently signed a new deal with the French club, joined on a permanent deal from Amiens following a successful loan move.
City put in a bid of £45 million for him during the summer transfer window, and despite not being successful, they’re continuing to monitor him over in Ligue 1.
Ndombele could well be the next big thing in European football, and it appears as if Pep Guardiola realises that. The Premier League champions are still stacked to the brim with outstanding players, but you’d have to think that Ndombele would still get a decent amount of time in the first team after being pursued for so long.
