Manchester City want Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge

Manchester City are interested in signing Sander Berge from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021, according to Voetbal24. It has been reported that the former Premier League champions are looking to replace Fernandinho and have identified Berge as their top target.

City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly a fan of the Norway international midfielder and wants the Citizens to push for the signing of the 23-year-old. According to WhoScored, the former Genk star has made 12 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Blades so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.

United are at the foot of the Premier League table and are likely to get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season. Meanwhile, City currently find themselves at the top of the standings and look set to win the league title for the third time in four years.
