Manchester City want Thuram

According to a recent report from Bild, Manchester City have joined the race to try and sign young forward Marcus Thuram.

The 23-year-old, who currently plays for Borussia Monchengladbach, is believed to be a player of real interest for a string of clubs across world football. City, on the other hand, may have a fantastic squad, but they’re already starting to look ahead to the future in order to see what strikers could be part of their operation moving forward.

Thuram may not have formerly jumped off the page as someone that City should be pursuing but based on what he can do, and based on what Pep Guardiola needs, it could end up being the perfect combination.

They’ve never been short on goalscoring under Pep but if they want to push Liverpool all the way, they might need something more – and Thuram is definitely a wild card option for them.
