(GSM) – Manchester City lead Group A of the UEFA Europa League following a 2-0 win over Salzburg, while Juventus drew 3-3 with Lech Poznan of Poland.

Just eight minutes had been played in the Austrian city of Salzburg when Spanish winger David Silva, who recently joined Manchester City from Valencia, put the Premiership side in the lead.

Three minutes after the hour, Jo added a second to take away any remaining hopes the home side may still have had.

Juventus had a tough night against Lech Poznan in Turin, going two goals down in the first half. Artoms Rudnevs scored from the penalty spot in the 14th minute and found the target again on the half hour mark.

Giorgio Chiellini then restored the balance with goals in the 44th and 50th minutes and Alessandro Del Piero went on to make it 3-2 eight minutes after the hour.

But against all expectations, Juventus would not get away that easily as Rudnevs completed his hat-trick in the final minute, 3-3.
