Manchester City’s bid accepted by Spurs

In a day of high drama Mark Hughes told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur have accepted a ₤33 million bid for Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov.

It had been expected that Spurs would sell to Manchester rivals Manchester United.

Reports have said that Berbatov has accepted weekly wages of around ₤150 000.
