Manchester City’s Elano on his way to La Liga?

The Daily Star reports that Manchester City’s Brazilian midfielder Elano may move to Espanyol on loan in January. The deal would be set up with a view to making the move permanent at the end of the season.

The twenty-seven year old Brazilian international has played over forty league games at Manchester City but has been unable to command a regular place in the side under Mark Hughes. He has impressed nearly everyone with his vision and quality, but one of the few people unimpressed seems to be his manager.

Espanyol will getting a fine player if the deal goes through.
