Manchester City’s Marc Cucurella bid rejected

Manchester City have made a bid to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic. The report has claimed that Premier League champions City have made an initial offer of £30 million for the left-back, but Brighton have turned it down.

City will receive £30 million in transfer fees for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is set to leave the Citizens for Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window. Pep Guardiola’s side have offered the same amount to Brighton, and despite being rejected, they will hold more talks with the Seagulls over Cucurella.

Cucurella has been on the books of Brighton since the summer of 2021 when he joined from Getafe. The 23-year-old Spain international left-back made 35 appearances in the Premier League for Graham Potter’s side last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
