Superdeporte is reporting that Manchester United and Manchester City are both keen on Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes.
The highly rated footballer is currently owned by an investment company led by soon-to-be los Che president Peter Lim, as they purchased the player’s contract from Benfica in April for a fee of €15 million.
It has now been revealed that Manchester United and Manchester City both submitted offers in the region of €18 million for Gomes in the summer transfer window, but these were swiftly rejected as Peter Lim wanted the youngster to sign for his new club.
And with the 21-year-old enjoying a good start to his career in Spain, the Manchester rivals could reignite their interest in the January transfer window.
Buoyed by several quality signings, Valencia started the new league campaign brightly, taking four points from first two matches, with los Che now available at 2/1 to achieve a top 4 finish.
