Manchester rivals to battle for Sadio Mane

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Manchester City and Manchester United are locked in the battle for Southampton forward Sadio Mane.

Soon-to-be Man City manager Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the Senegalese footballer and he has instructed the Citizens officials to try and lure him to Etihad Stadium.

That will be no easy task considering that Manchester United are keen as well, but the good news is that Southampton appear ready to cash in on their prized asset.

With Mane having suffered a dip in form of late, the Saints are prepared to consider offers in the region of £30 million in the summer transfer window.

After failing to score in 15 consecutive games, the 23-year-old was dropped from the starting line-up for the clash against Swansea, and the recent reports suggest that boss Ronald Koeman no longer believes that Mane has a place in his starting XI.
