Manchester United 4/7 to beat Sevilla in Tuesdays Champions League clash

Competition: Champions League

Market: Manchester United to beat Sevilla

Odds: 4/7 @ Bet365

After playing out a 0-0 draw a fortnight ago in Spain, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side will look to carry on their recent fine run of form when they welcome Sevilla to Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

While the Red Devils may have seen their Premier League title ambitions long since abandoned, Jose Mourinho will know that the Champions League still remains a possible chance of silverware come the end of the season. Currently sat 16 points adrift of their noisy neighbours, United’s primary attention has turned to securing Champions League football at Old Trafford next season. With their recent form securing them a nine-point buffer over fifth place Chelsea, Jose Mourinho’s side are unbeaten in their last five outings, including winning their last three games on the bounce, those matches have also seen the Red Devils take three points off defending Champions Chelsea and an impressive 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

As for the visitors on Tuesday night, Vincenzo Montella’s Sevilla side have failed to keep up the pace after an impressive start to 2018. Now sat nine points adrift the top four, Sevilla are now in a battle to secure European football for next season, currently in fifth place on 45 points in the La Liga table, Sevilla now only hold a two-point advantage over the two teams behind them. As for their recent form, Montella’s sides’ inability to mount a serious run of results has been his sides main problem, coming off the back of a 2-0 home defeat to Valencia last weekend, Sevilla have now won just two of their last five matches in all competitions.
