Manchester United are desperate to get back on track in the race for a top-four finish, which means can they can’t afford to draw any points against Sunderland this weekend. The Red Devils are currently fourth in the Premier League table after 26 games, but have suffered defeat in their last game which has opened up the race for a Champions League spot.

Manager Louis van Gaal has been heavily criticised for their lukewarm season, and there’s every chance they could miss out on the coveted spot in Europe’s prestigious competition. They have been much stronger at home all through the campaign, but Sunderland are expert at nullifying the threat of the opposition when playing away from home.

Gus Poyet’s side kill the game better than most sides in the Premier League, and have won one, drawn two of their last four games, conceding three goals. They held United to a 1-1 draw when the two sides locked horns back in August, but Ladbrokes are backing the Red Devils, with odds of 4/11 to win this weekend.
