Manchester United hammered Leeds United 6-2 at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday evening to enhance their chances of winning the league title this season.

United are now five points behind leaders and defending English champions Liverpool with a game in hand. If the Red Devils win it, then they will be only two points behind the Reds. While there will be many doubters, bases on stats and current form, Solskjaer’s side have to be considered as genuine challenges for the Premier League title, with United rated at 10/1 by Betfair to lift the trophy at the end of the season. Bruno Fernandes is one of the best players in the world and is a class operator in the middle of the park. The Portugal international is a key figure for United, who will hope that he remains on top of his game in the coming weeks and months.

Leeds United need to get tighter at the back

Leeds have conceded as many as 30 goals in the Premier League so far this season, more than any team in the top flight of English football. While the Whites are a very entertaining team and are a joy to watch, they are conceding far too many goals. It has to be a concern, and if the West Yorkshire club keep on shipping in goals like they did against United, then they could end up fighting relegation.

Scott McTominay is a class act

Scott McTominay turned into prime Zinedine Zidane against Leeds and produced one of his best performances for United. The 24-year-old central midfielder scored two goals in the opening three minutes and was a constant problem for the Leeds defence.
