Competition: Champions League
Market: Man Utd to win against Wolfsburg
Odds: 8/11 @ Coral

Manchester United host Wolfsburg in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with the Premier League outfit are big favourites to pile the misery onto the travel-sick visitors at Old Trafford to finally get off the mark in their group. The Red Devils are desperate to shine in Europe, and their fist win could come this week.

United suffered defeat in their opening Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven, and are determined to make amends. Louis Van Gaal’s side have been in good form to deliver too, winning three consecutive outings in the Premier League and Capital One Cup ahead of their European bout. Only a win will do at home, as United have some difficult games to come in their group.

Manchester United have won five and drawn one of their six games in their own backyard this season, which should see them over the line against Wolfsburg, especially given the poor away form of the Germans. While unconvincing in Europe early on, things seem to be clicking for Van Gaal’s men in the shape of a number of positive results. Their opponents are suffering contrasting form, however.

Wolfsburg have been inconsistent this season. They are sitting pretty in 4th in the German Bundesliga, but are yet to pick up a win on the road. The Wolves have dropped points in three of their last four league outings, but are coming off the back of a win in the Champions League. The Germans beat CSKA Moscow on home soil, but they’ll be tested on their travels this week.
