Manchester United are keen on a deal for Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, according to Christian Falk. The well-known and well-respected Bild journalist has claimed that United have asked Davies and his manager to hold a meeting in January.
United’s plan is to sign Davies on a free transfer in the summer of 2025. The 24-year-old Canada international, who can play as a left-back or as a winger, is out of contract at Bayern at the end of the season. The German giants have not yet accepted Davies’s demands.
Falk wrote on X: “Manchester United have asked Alphonso Davies (24) and his Manager for a Meeting in January. Davies is a free Agent in Summer and he can then negotiate and sign with another club from January 1st. Bayern have not yet accepted the demand of €16 million salary per year and €15 million signing fee.”
Davies has given one assist in 10 starts and one substitute appearance in the Bundesliga and has played five times in the UEFA Champions League for Bayern so far this season. United, linked with Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret, are 13th in the Premier League table.
