Manchester United agree deal for Renato Sanches

Portuguese media outlet Record has claimed that Manchester United have all but reached an agreement to sign Benfica wonderkid Renato Sanches.

Even though the deal has yet to be made official, the Eagles are quite happy with Red Devils’ latest offer that includes €40 million up front plus another €20 million in performance related bonuses.

Benfica do hope Man Utd will eventually increase the fixed amount, but there are unlikely to be any obstacles to the 18-year-old moving to Old Trafford in the summer.

The Red Devils will be delighted to have won the chase for arguably Portugal’s hottest prospects, with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also expressing their interest in his services.

Renato Sanches has enjoyed a meteoric rise since he was promoted to the first team set-up in October 2015 and he already amassed 16 league outings, scoring 2 goals, while starting three Champions League fixtures for the club.
