Manchester United and Arsenal set for Higuain battle

Arsenal and Manchester United are both set to move for Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain this summer, according to Talkspot.

The 27 year old, who has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, has been in Italy for the past two seasons having signed for Rafael Benitez’s side from Real Madrid.

He has made ninety-three appearances for the Serie A side, and scored his forty-eighth goal for them in their 4-1 Europa League quarter-final win over Wolfsburg on Thursday evening.

In six-and-a-half years in Spain, he won three La Liga titles and the Copa Del Rey while internationally he was part of the Argentina squad that finished as runners-up in last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, while he also featured in the 2010 tournament in South Africa.

Following Thursday’s results, Napoli are now favourites to win the Europa League and can be backed at a price of 8/5.
