Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford this afternoon, with both sides fighting for a top-three spot in the table to avoid having to qualify for the Champions League group stages this summer. As things stand, Arsenal are on course to take the final automatic Champions League place in the Premier League this season, but they have to avoid defeat at a ground they have fared poorly at for years.

United have played a game more than Arsenal, so they can’t entertain anything less than a win if they are to finish ahead of the Londoners. Louis van Gaal’s men have suffered three defeats in their last four league matches, one of which includes a home loss to West Bromwich Albion, so they will be beatable today.

Arsenal, however, are coming off the back of a home defeat to Swansea City, so they too could be tentative ahead of this afternoon’s fixture.
