Manchester United have once again been linked with a move to sign Zenit St Petersburg defender Ezequiel Garay, according to the Daily Star.
The centre-back only moved to the Russian Premier League side last summer but is reportedly unhappy with life in Saint Petersburg.
Both United and Premier League leaders Chelsea were eyeing a move for the Argentina international last summer, though he opted for a move to Andre Villas Boas’ side, who currently sit top of Russia’s top flight, seven points clear of CSKA Moscow.
Red Devils’ boss Louis van Gaal is on the lookout for a new defender, and is also monitoring the situations of Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Raphael Varane of Real Madrid.
United travel to Swansea City on Saturday afternoon, and are priced at 1/1 to take the three points that will see them, if only briefly move to within two points of neighbours and champions Manchester City.
