According to a recent report from O Jogo, Manchester United’s push to try and sign Bruno Fernandes may well be back on. The Sporting Lisbon star has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford over the course of the last few months, but it seemed as if any talks between the two parties had begun to fizzle out.
It no longer appears as if that’s the case, with Sporting needing to clear £57 million of debt as soon as they possibly can. One way in which they can do that would be to try and sell off some of their biggest and best stars, of which Fernandes certainly qualifies.
He was a hefty target during the summer transfer window but they couldn’t quite come to terms on the specifics of the deal, and now, it seems like playing the waiting game has worked out perfectly for the Red Devils.
