Portugal international and AS Monaco star performer Bernardo Silva is said to be in advanced talks with Manchester United over a possible summer move, France Football has learned.
The French media outlet’s printed edition is reporting this Tuesday that the highly-rated 22-year-old’s impressive performances for the French Ligue 1 title contenders have alarmed Jose Mourinho, who is keen to establish a working relationship with his compatriot next season as he plans on getting him to move to Old Trafford.
France Football suggests a deal worth around €50 million could be on the cards and Red Devils plan to once again invest a significant amount of money to solidify their squad and attack all major honours next season.
Bernardo Silva has played a vital role in his team brilliant exploits this season with the Portuguese having a great hand in AS Monaco’s run to the Champions League semi-finals and to the summit of the Ligue 1.
Silva made 9 appearances in the Europe and 29 more in the domestic league for a combined tally of eight goals in total this season.
