Barcelona defender Yerry Mina looks set to leave the Spanish champions after less than a year at Camp Nou.
Former Palmeiras centre-back moved to Spain in January but largely struggled to gain his footing at Barcelona and will be allowed to leave during summer. The Colombia international put himself firmly in the shop window thanks to an impressive showing in the World Cup and now Barcelona are ready to cash in on their defender.
Everton have been heavily linked with a move for the 23-year-old but Manchester United are said to have swooped in, hoping to hijack the move.
Spanish media outlet Sport is reporting that Manchester United representatives jetted off to Spain in order to close a €40 million deal for the player who joined the Catalan powerhouse for little below €12 million.
Mina managed only six appearances for Barcelona since January and is seeking a chance to get the regular playing time.
