Manchester United are eyeing a move for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kross, according to the Daily Star.
The Germany international has been at the Bernabeu since the summer of 2014, and has since racked up seventy-seven appearances for the La Liga giants in all competitions, scoring twice.
The Red Devils were interested in securing a deal for the twenty-six-year-old while he was still at Bayern Munich and are now ready to rekindle their interest.
Kroos has said that he is settled in the Spanish capital and has started all but two of Real’s league games so far this season though a £40m bid could still be lodged by Louis van Gaal’s side who themselves need an improved second half of the campaign if they are to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Their draw with Newcastle United on Tuesday evening left them in sixth place, two points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth.
