Manchester United are interested in signing Alejandro Balde from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the Premier League club have been closely monitoring Balde and could make a move for the left-back at the end of the season.
Balde has been on the books of Barcelona since 2011 and has established himself in the La Liga club’s first team after progressing through their La Masia youth system. The Spain international left-back has made 21 starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga and has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for the Blaugrana so far this season. Balde has given four assists in those games.
Man United are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 30 points from 26 matches, 13 points above the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Barcelona currently find themselves at the top of the La Liga table with 54 points from 25 games, level on points with second-placed and defending champions Real Madrid.
