The Mirror understands that Manchester United are lining up a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen as they consider potential replacements for David De Gea.
De Gea has been continuously linked with a move to Real Madrid over the past few transfer windows while French giants Paris Saint Germain have also entered the race to secure his services.
The Spain international penned a new deal at Old Trafford back in September though that is unlikely to deter further pursuits for his signature.
Ter Stegen has made just four league appearances for Barcelona since singing from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2014 and is on the lookout for regular first team football.
He has racked up most of his playing time in the Copa Del Rey and the Champions League, with Claudio Bravo currently first choice for league games.
Borussia Dortmund are also interested in signing the Germany international, who turns twenty-four next month.
