Daily Express has suggested that Premier League giants Manchester United have submitted an official proposal for Fluminense forward Kenedy Nunes do Nascimento.
It is no secret the Red Devils are in the market for attacking reinforcements, with Radamel Falcao not expected to remain at Old Trafford beyond the current campaign.
But, rather than making a move on a proven goalscorer, Manchester United have reportedly made a £5.7 million bid for Fluminense youngster Kenedy.
The 19 year old is widely regraded as one of country’s hottest prospects, with Chelsea and Barcelona also casting admiring glances his way.
Kenedy represented Brazil at the Under 20 South American Championship in Uruguay, scoring one goal in seven appearances at the tournament finals.
His suitors Manchester United face a high profile clash with rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-finals, with Louis van Gaal’s charges available at 9/10 to qualify for the next stage.
